Kitcheners and Huey
Thursday, July 15th, 2010MISSION
Fast growing yet relatively young, Kitcheners Kitchens sought to market itself by focusing on its strong brand values of trust quality, great design and outstanding service.
APPROACH
A credible big name endorsement would help elevate them in the congested home and lifestyle category and we chose Australia’s Number 1 TV Chef, Iain “Huey” Hewitson. He embodies trust and quality, successfully personifying Kitcheners’ brand values. Make A Splash then created a communications campaign revolving around Huey.
RESULTS
Brand recognition and awareness has increased in the wake of Huey’s association. It has led to greater lead generation and conversion into sales of new kitchens, so much so that the 12 months to Jan 2009 saw revenue growth of 126% from the previous corresponding period.
‘I appreciate all the hard work and effort that Make A Splash
has put in to help grow our business. They immerse themselves
in the fundamentals of my business and they understand
what is needed to help achieve our goals’

MISSION
To strengthen a connection between the National Rugby League and tomorrow’s little league fans by utilising the mascots of the 16 teams to build an emotional connection.
APPROACH
We popularised the mascots by creating an online world called My Clubhouse that was complemented by ‘physical’ experiential activity at Sydney’s Luna Park. This activity was supported by a fun logo, colourful characters and great games so kids can interact with their heroes online or play with them in person at select outdoor sites.
RESULTS
Recognition of the official My Clubhouse program has grown enormously as has the ever increasing database of My Clubhouse members.
‘Make A Splash grasped the challenging brief immediately.
Their work communicates to kids in an engaging and
meaningful manner. Their insightful strategy and creative
execution blew us away.’
